If I knew why I'd tell you but I'd imagine they were trying to focus the press on things like the new Nanoforge and the huge mech suit.
I have no doubt it is in there but I was just as surprised given its omnipotence in Guerrilla.

But making geomod to give player few possibilities how to advance. Stealth, brute, or tactical, but still keep the linear gameplay. Sandbox is longer, but starts boring after short time. Linear is shorter, but it's fun till the end. Like Crysis - linear game with many options in advancement - epic. [endtext]

EDF get replaced with generic silly aliens woohoo, gone are the cover using firefights that can become epic wars with incoming support dropins from both sides.... now we have stupid aliens to shoot cool!!!
